Maurie Mulheron

Maurie was a teacher and principal with 34 years of experience teaching in public high schools in rural, regional and metropolitan New South Wales (NSW), Australia.  From 2012-2020, he served as President of the NSW Teachers Federation, and concurrently as Deputy Federal President of the Australian Education Union from 2015-2020. During this time Maurie represented public school teachers on the NSW Education Standards Authority’s Quality Teaching Council. In 2021, he was appointed Director of the Centre for Public Education Research.
